Nutrition is one of the many fundamental aspects to living a healthier, better quality of life, we all know that and have heard it many times in our lives but did you know that it's actually the mind that holds the key to unlocking your greatest chances of survival and living your healthiest life?
Our minds and bodies are our true homes. Homes that we live in for our entire life, not just for a few years and then we get to sell it and move out. No, this is it and it's all we've got. We can't build ourselves a better house without laying a solid foundation first and that all starts with our minds. Think about this, we put so much time into building houses, physical structures, that we live in, and we do everything we need to make that house a home where we feel safe in and feel free to just be ourselves and we protect that house with insurance because houses cost a lot and we want to protect it and get a good return on our investment by living in it for a long time, right?. So if we put all that time, effort and cost into a structure to make it a nice comfortable cozy place to be in, then why won't we do the same for our true homes? Don't we want to do all that we can do to live in a solid home and get the greatest return on our investment in ourselves, too? It makes sense, right?
The cost of not investing in our true homes now will become too great later on in life and your house will get worn down and weak and the quality will soon be gone
We see it all too often when we try and start a new diet or we make New Year's Resolutions to be healthier and fit only to give up after a few weeks or a couple of months later. We want to feel better and look better but quickly start to lose that motivation because even though we've created a vision of what we will look like or what we will feel like, we failed to lay the groundwork (in our minds or down on paper) to make those visions a reality and so what happens? Our visions begin to fade and it's back to the same old way of life and we feel like failures and get down on ourselves and want to stop trying altogether. But it's not our fault. This means figuring out how much energy you are exerting and what types of food and how much you're inputting that's needed to match your particular goal.
